- Demographic development and gradual changes in the social structure of the population in the Slovenian area.
- Characteristics of the process of national development among Slovenians compared to other nations of the Habsburg Monarchy (from elite nationalism to mass movement).
- Slovenian-German, Slovenian-Italian, and Slovenian-Hungarian relations.
- Development of the typical ideological-political configuration during the process of political democratisation of the monarchy (differences by state).
- Slovenian self-image (sense of jeopardy, seeking allies, Yugoslav/Slavic idea).
- Slovenian politics in the national assembly.
- The attitude of Slovenians towards the Habsburg Monarchy.
- Secularisation of Slovenian society and pillarisation.
