Ethnology of Slovenia 1

Insight into various interpretations of the development of various historical cultures and groups connected to the so called Slovenian ethnical area. Learning about various understandings of the concept of development. Acquainting with the questions of ethnogenesis, autochthonity and authenticity of culture and social groups. Chronological and spatial overview of the so called Slovenian folk culture, its economical and social foundations.

At practical classes students learn basic information about various sources and methods of research of the development of the so called Slovene ethnical area. Practical classes are combined with the filed-work, excursions (to archeological spots, museum and archival collections).
