• Different types of information resources (analogue and digital), their characteristics and the purpose of their creation in different information organisations.
• Types of sources: primary, secondary and tertiary sources.
• Information resources according to content, information needs and characteristics: dictionaries, encyclopaedias, lexicons, biographical sources, bibliographical sources, geographical sources, government and official information, subject collections, library catalogues, citation indexes, grey literature, web search engines, blogs, social media posts, etc.
• Evaluation of information resources.
• Identification, selection, access and evaluation of information found on the Internet and in the library.
• Unauthorised and illegal practices in accessing information resources.
• Fake news.
• Censorship.
