Basic simultaneous interpreting skills – memory capacity, speech/listening comprehension, understanding structure, the speaker's aims and the context of discourse involving speaking participants, summarising and reformulation. Introduction to simultaneous interpreting: »shadowing« (in all language combinations), repeating by paraphrasing or content reformulation. Simultaneous interpretation of gradually and increasingly longer and denser speech units (up to 7-10 minutes) from C languages to Slovene. Acquiring public performance (»booth«) skills. The students also practice simultaneous with text.
