ECTS credit: 5
Lecturer(s): prof. dr. Kos Matevž
In the seminar students test their acquired knowledge of literary history and theory (esp. literary axiology) in the practical field of literary criticism. The lecturer begins by outlining the general issue of literary criticism within literary science, and continues by addressing the specific dilemmas – both theoretical and practical – of current literary critical writing. Each participant selects at least one new work of literature, originally written in or translated into Slovene, reviews it and presents the review in the classroom. In addition to presenting their own reviews, the participants are required to familiarise themselves with all works discussed and to participate in the discussions. Their views must be supported with arguments and expressed through dialogue with their fellow students.
