• Basic physical geographical features of Asia (geological and tectonic structure, relief, climate, soils and biogeographical features of Asia).
• Natural hazards and their impacts upon Asian society;
• Population characteristics and their impact on Asian society: characteristics (natural movements, population density, ethnicity, religion, age) and their impact on the landscape.
• Economic-geographical characteristics (energy and mining resources, agriculture, secondary and tertiary activities).
• Ecvironmental issues and the impact of cimate change in Asia
