In-depth study of individual topics from the history of art in the Middle Ages in Slovenia as well as in other areas, associated with current scientific research work of the institution and any other course providers, with an emphasis on architecture, sculpture and painting. Lectures also cover the topic of the nearby Alpine and the Adriatic area as well as the wider area of Central Europe and Italy, from where the impacts and incentives came. Themes are different each year and are always chosen to present special issues, which sre not included in the lectures at the first level, but also to the specific material which shows the development of the Slovenian art in context of the broader European space, taking into account and critical analysis of latest advances in the discipline and its methodological achievements.
