Practical classes encompass the discussion of literary works, comparative discussion of their relations with other literary and art works in different historical periods with the usage of theoretical texts from comparative literature, literary history, philosophy, history and other texts from the humanities. Practical classes focus on issues of tradition, modernity and contemporariness in art, thought and literature, as well as on the content and historical development of related terms, such as moderna, modernism, postmoderna, postmodernism, traditional, contemporary.
