New Research Approaches S

The course introduces students to modern research practice on a methodological, theoretical and practical level. Using modern research technologies and tools, including digital ones, they will analyze selected examples of modern life and work.
During the lectures, they become familiar with the epistemological problems of ethnology and cultural anthropology, that is, with knowledge and its scope, both in European and non-European contexts, both from the point of view of modernity and modern research efforts.
During the seminar, they will meet in practice with modern digital and other technological tools as well as methods and approaches, in dealing with a selected real problem and in an interdisciplinary context. Theoretical and analytical tools will be used in practice and will be presented to the public in a modern way.
The material includes the foundations of digital anthropology and ethnography, as well as familiarization with other modern approaches in anthropological research, from sensory ethnography to remote ethnography.
