The seminar focusses on:
- research work in linguistics (types, theoretical framework, and methods of research);
- theoretical models and their role in understanding and explaining linguistic phenomena;
- theoretical framework, methods, results;
- research project (identifying the research problem(s) and goals; critical review of the relevant literature; the choice of theoretical and methodological framework; qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods approaches);
- data collection and analysis (corpora, sampling, general strategies and methods of statistical analysis, etc);
- interpretation and assessment of research results, discussion.
