Kaja Dobrovoljc, a research associate at the Department of Slovene Studies, holds an undergraduate degree in translation studies and a doctoral degree in Slovene linguistics. As a member of the research programme Language Resources and Technologies for Slovene, her main research interests lie in the design, annotation and evaluation of machine-readable language resources, and their use in descriptive language research.
She currently leads a post-doctoral project SPOT – Treebank-Driven Approach to the Study of Spoken Slovenian (2022–2024) and actively participates in the COST Action UniDive – Universality, diversity and idiosyncracy in language technology (2022–2024).
