French Grammar 2:
Students gain familiarity with the verb phrase in more detail. The course focuses on the basic concepts connected with the verb phrase, such as mood, tense and aspect as well as on reported speech, conditionals and modal verbs and their semantic function in the text.
Special emphasis is given to the relationship between the structure, meaning and function. Students are encouraged to compare grammatical categories of French and Slovene and to consider the different ways of expressing selected elements of French grammar in Slovene. Lectures are completed with tutorials where students practice the theoretical knowledge within the appropriate context.
